Our host, Ashleigh Mitchell, is a children’s dietitian from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney. She also has experience supporting children with mito and their families. Ashleigh Mitchell

Ashleigh Mitchell is a children’s dietitian and mum of 2. She has 13 years of experience at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney. She is a senior dietitian in genetic metabolic disorders and has experience supporting children with mito. Ashleigh has publications in metabolic journals. She has also guest lectured at universities and presented internationally. She has her own practice where she offers practical nutrition strategies for families.

Kirralee Peterkin

Kirralee is a Support Services Officer in Mito Foundation’s Support Services team. She has lived experience of a rare and complex inherited multisystem disorder. Kirralee has a passion for connecting people to information and support that can improve their quality of life.
