About the event
Join us for a unique opportunity to hear from Professor Carolyn Sue AM. She is a renowned expert in mitochondrial disease (mito). Professor Sue has led groundbreaking work in mito research and health care in Australia. She has worked in neurogenetics and neurology departments with a focus on movement disorders for over 2 decades. Professor Sue is currently the Kinghorne Chair at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) where she leads the NeuRA Neurogenetics and Movement disorder clinic.
This event is for anyone who wants to learn and hear from a mito expert. We encourage you to submit your questions in advance. This will help shape Professor Sue’s topic.

Meet your hosts
Toni Catton
Toni, in the role of General Manager, leads the Support Services Team and is involved in organisation wide operations. Toni’s daughter was diagnosed with mito in 2016. It is through this lens that Toni strives to ensure families are supported. She is also passionate about advancing the pathway to better health outcomes.
Prof Carolyn Sue AM
Professor Carolyn Sue AM is a world-renowned expert in mitochondrial disease. In 2019, Professor Sue was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). It was for her significant work in medicine, especially on mitochondrial disease.
