Getting to The Lucky Shag – Perth Mito Social
The Perth Mito Social will be at The Lucky Shag Waterfront Bar. Located at Barrack Square, Riverside Drive, Perth WA 6000. Nestled on the Swan River at Elizabeth Quay, it’s easily accessible by public transport, car, or on foot.​
By train
The venue is a short walk from Elizabeth Quay Station, served by the Mandurah and Joondalup lines. Alternatively, Perth Station is approximately a 10-minute walk away, providing access to all Transperth train lines.​
By bus
Numerous bus routes stop near Elizabeth Quay Bus Station, just a few minutes’ walk from The Lucky Shag. For personalised public transport directions, use the Transperth Journey Planner.​
By car
While The Lucky Shag doesn’t have its own parking, several nearby car parks are available:​
- Terrace Road Car Park – 165 Terrace Road, Perth
- Concert Hall Car Park – Terrace Road, Perth
- Convention Centre Car Park – 21 Mounts Bay Road, Perth​

Accessibility
The Lucky Shag Waterfront Bar offers accessibility features. It has an accessible side entrance to the lower deck (as the main entrance is not wheelchair accessible), and a lift to the rooftop area, which requires staff assistance to operate.
Accessible toilets are available on the same level as the dining space. They are spacious enough for a wheelchair and support person. While there is no designated accessible parking on-site, a drop-off point is located approximately 10 meters from the entrance at Barrack Square. Service animals are welcome, and lighting and seating are generally accessible.

Cancellation policy
If you’re no longer able to attend the event, you’re welcome to request a refund of your $10 (per person) registration fee. Please email supportservices@mito.org.au by 8am (AWST) on Thursday 4 September 2025 and let us know you can’t attend. We’ll process your refund as soon as we can.
After you register, we will send you a confirmation email with the event details.
About the event
Join us at the Perth Mito Social! It’s a relaxed gathering for everyone in the mito community. Dan Loden, a local parent of three, is your host. His son Aidan has mito.
We’ll start the evening with a casual meal at The Lucky Shag, right on the water in the heart of the city. This is a great way to enjoy a night out, meet new people, and feel connected to the mito community.
After dinner, we’ll take a gentle walk to nearby landmarks lit up in green for Light Up for Mito, including:

Dan Loden
Dan lives in Perth and is dad to three kids, including Aidan who has mito. Dan has been part of the Mito Foundation for many years, helping with risk management and planning for the future. He cares deeply about supporting the mito community and is excited to connect with others at the Perth Mito Social.
