About the event
Managing energy can involve much more than deciding when to rest. It can mean constantly thinking ahead. Do I have enough energy for this? Will I need to recover afterwards? Do I change my plans now?
This supportive conversation will explore the emotional load that can come with monitoring energy, changing plans and living with uncertainty about your capacity.
Diane Cass is a mental health social worker with professional and personal experience of mito. Diane will explore the mental load of planning around energy, the impact of changing capacity and the role self-compassion can play when things do not go as planned.
Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on common energy drainers and the things that may help protect their energy. A short activity will invite people to identify their own energy drainers and energy protectors, then create a small support menu for lower-energy days.
You are welcome to listen, share or take part in a way that feels comfortable. There is no pressure to share personal experiences.
This session is for general wellbeing support and connection. It is not medical advice, therapy, counselling or crisis support.
