Garden Releaf is an innovative program established by Garden Centres of Australia, designed to help people realise the many benefits of spending time in a garden or simply surrounding themselves with living greenery.
Garden Centres of Australia has recently partnered with Mito Foundation to raise funds for the Green Shoots Fund. This fund has a goal of $25,000 to support budding research that will change the future for the mito community. We’re so grateful for their support.

Raising awareness and funds for mito on Garden Releaf Day
On Sunday 19 March 2023, almost 50 independent garden centres across Australia participated in Garden Releaf Day to offer fun activities and informative events for the whole family, while helping raise awarenss and much needed funds for Australians impacted by mitochondrial disease (mito).
Some of the garden centres ran creative fundraising activities such as gnome painting, a lolly guessing competition, auctions, and milkshake for mito. Mito Foundation team and community members showed their appreciation by attending events across the country. Thank you to all the garden centres for your wonderful support!
Many centres will continue to raise money throughout the year with gift wrapping fundraisers, and raffles. Visit the Garden Releaf website to learn more and find your local garden centres.
