This is Rosie. She has MPV17 related mtDNA depletion syndrome. This presents as hypoglycemia, chronic vomiting and liver disease.
She is tube fed through her tummy to control her blood sugar and support her liver and brain function, and is the only known surviving child in Australia with her condition.
She loves playing outside, running around with other kids and bossing her older siblings around. She is the strongest, happiest little girl and we’re so fortunate to have her in our lives.
