Annual Electricity Concession
Pensioner Concession Card and/or Health Care Card holders may be eligible for electricity rebates through their electricity providers. Find out more.
Heating Allowance
Pensioner Concession Card holders may be eligible to receive a yearly allowance to assist with heating costs. A rebate is paid in May and September. Find out more.
Medical Cooling or Heating Concession
Mito patients who have issues with regulating their body temperature and hold a Pensioner Concession Card may be eligible for the Medical Cooling or Heating Concession in addition to the rebates listed above. Find out more.

Pensioner Concession Card and Health Care Card holders may be eligible for rebates on their water bill through TasWater. Find out more.
Transport Access Scheme
Mito patients whose mobility is affected may be eligible to apply for the Transport Access Scheme which includes the Disability Parking Permit and the Taxi Subsidy Scheme. The Disability Parking Permit entitles members to park in parking zones designated for people with disabilities and in timed car parks for an extended time. Pension Concession Card holders may be eligible for the Vision Impaired Travel Pass, which allows members to travel free of charge or at a discounted rate with some public transport services. Download the application form here.

Telephone Services: Priority/Special Assistance
Some telecommunication providers offer priority or special assistance to people who have a life-threatening medical condition and whose life may be at risk without access to a fully operational phone service. Mito patients who are at high risk of cardiovascular emergencies or patients who live alone, without support or in remote locations may be eligible.

People who use electrically operated life support equipment such as oxygen concentrators, dialysis machines and chronic positive pressure and airways regulators may be eligible for a daily discount on their electricity costs. Find out more.
